The Series 2 Controller contains a
Windows style user interface. Here the user can view the 16 camera
images at 1/2 resolution in real time and select individual images for
real time, full resolution viewing. An identical web page accessible
via a browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape) is available for remote
monitoring. This web page sequentially scans through the 16 camera
images using a predetermined amount of network bandwidth. Only changes
to the images are transmitted. The user can optionally select an
individual image for full resolution viewing, utilizing all available
network bandwidth.
The Series 2 Controller archives the
images to hard disk at full resolution in a compressed format. The unit
only stores video when changes are detected in the scene. The user can
set 48 sensitivity zones per camera for determining when a change in
the video has occurred.
The Series 2 Controller also contains
play and search features. Using the local user interface or via a web
page, the user can play selected sequences of images from any camera
over a selected time interval. The user can also utilize a search
feature to look for the image captured under specific conditions. These
conditions include video motion or the state of a selectable number of
control ports.
Finally, the Series 2 Controller
contains a programmable controller feature. The control program is
entered through the Windows user interface, and consists of a series of
menu based control parameters which are simple, flexible, and easy to
understand. This control program can be viewed and its operation
dynamically altered through a web page. Emails can be sent when
specified events occur or for camera failures.
